Physical Therapy

In your initial evaluation we will complete a full assessment, provide treatment, discuss necessary exercises, and establish plan of care for subsequent appointments. Treatments may include manual therapy(soft tissue or joint mobilization), dry needling, cupping, taping/strapping, neuromuscular re-education, and therapeutic exercise.


COLDPLUNGE

"Consider doing deliberate cold exposure for 11 minutes per week TOTAL. NOT per session, but rather, 2-4 sessions lasting 1-5 mins each distributed across the week. Again, the water temperature should be uncomfortably cold yet safe to stay in for a few minutes. You can do more, but this should be the minimum to achieve the benefits of cold exposure. You can do very cold, very brief exposures for adrenaline release too, but the 11 minutes is based on a recent study that explored a range of effects and is a good solid, basic protocol for ongoing use." -Andrew Hubermna

This is a traditional dry sauna. Temperature will be held in a range of 180-195 degrees Fahrenheit. On the upper bench near the heater, you will feel the full effects and temps close to 200. On the far side of the upper bench, temperature will be decreased about 10-15 degrees. On the lower bench, temp will be about 30 degrees cooler than top bench. Kohler Panza, OTR/L received her Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies in 2017 from Auburn University. She then pursued her Masters degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of South Alabama where she discovered her passion for helping people live their lives to the fullest by participation in meaningful activities. She graduated in 2020 and moved to Nashville shortly after. She has worked in various therapeutic settings including outpatient orthopedics, inpatient rehabilitation, and acute care, and she has experience treating a variety of diagnoses. When she’s not working, she loves traveling, hiking nearby trails, and gardening in her flower and vegetable beds. She is excited to begin working at Fundamental Physical Therapy and looks forward to helping clients achieve their goals and live their lives to the fullest
